Multi-State Jackpots
Powerball and Mega Millions are undoubtedly the two biggest lotteries in the world, but that might not have been the case without New Jersey - the first state to push to sell tickets for both games.
Jackpots have got bigger and bigger since the cross-sell expansion and now regularly run into the billions of dollars. One of the largest wins of all time went to an NJ Lottery player from the Monmouth County township of Neptune, who landed an out-of-this-world $1.13 billion on Mega Millions in March 2024. Cash for Life, with daily draws and a top prize of $1,000 a day for life, is also available.
New Jersey Numbers
The NJ Lottery offers a host of in-state games throughout the week, with better odds of winning than the multi-state options. Pick 6 has a jackpot of at least $2 million, Pick 3, Pick 4 and Cash 5 are all played daily, while Cash Pop has draws every four minutes and you only have to match one number to win.
