Cash for Life FAQS

Cash for Life drawings take place daily, at approximately 9:00 PM ET.
You can buy Cash for Life tickets all day, but if you make your purchase after 8:45 PM ET, your ticket will be valid for the draw the following day (not the one in the next 15 minutes!).
You must be at least 18 years old to participate in any lottery in the state of New Jersey.
Pick five numbers between 1 and 60, plus a Cash Ball number from a separate set of 1 to 4, then decide whether to add the Doubler feature. See the How to Play page for a full guide.
Cash for Life costs $2 per play, or $3 if the Doubler add-on is applied.
For an additional $1 per play, any non-annuity prizes your ticket wins will be doubled in value.

There are nine different prizes you can win, depending on how many numbers you match. The jackpot is worth $1,000 a day for life, while the second prize is also paid out for life and is worth $1,000 a week.

In New Jersey, lottery tickets expire 12 months following the date of the drawing it was for. After that, prizes can no longer be redeemed.
If you want to play a regional lottery but your state doesn't participate, there is still a way! Lottery courier services allow players to select lottery numbers online from their home state. Then, an employee of the lottery courier in a participating state buys the ticket(s). These are stored securely, and any winnings promptly cashed in. Winnings are deposited into the player's online account. Even if you can buy tickets in your state, many lottery enthusiasts prefer having all their tickets stored digitally in one place, with winnings paid automatically and no need to go to the store.
