How to Play Mega Millions in New Jersey

You will have to select a total of six numbers and then choose a Megaplier option for the chance to win more.

Select your numbers
The first step is to choose the numbers you're going to play. You'll need to pick five different numbers from 1 to 70 on your playslip as well as one Mega Ball number between 1 and 25 (which can be the same as one of your main numbers). Decide on Megaplier
Now you’ve got your numbers you can multiply your winnings by selecting the ‘Megaplier’ option when you purchase your ticket. This will increase any non-jackpot prizes you win by the value of the multiplier, which comes up randomly as part of the draw - it can be X2, X3, X4, or X5. Choose How Many Draws to Play
This option is for those who want to play multiple draws but don’t want to purchase a ticket before each one. You can play up to eight consecutive draws without having to worry about choosing any more numbers for a while. Just make sure to use our Number Checker which will show you if you have won a prize in any of these draws.
Purchase your ticket
Each Mega Millions play costs $2, plus an additional $1 if you decide to add the Megaplier option. The total cost of a ticket will depend on how many draws you entered into and the amount of sets you picked per draw.
Just the Jackpot
'Just the Jackpot' is a fun option if you're only concerned about landing the top prize and want to get a discount on your ticket.
Each Just the Jackpot ticket contains two lines of quick pick Mega Millions numbers and costs just $3 instead of the usual $4. With these, you won't be able to win any runner-up prizes, only the jackpot!
How to Win Mega Millions
You win the top prize in Mega Millions by matching all five of your main numbers as well as your Mega Ball number. You can win several smaller prizes depending on how many numbers you matched.
