Cash 5 Odds and Prizes
The Cash 5 jackpot starts at $150,000 and rolls every time it is not won. With draws every day, this top prize can grow higher very quickly, and has been known to surpass $2 million.
You need to match all five numbers to win or share the jackpot. If you miss out on getting them all, there are still five other fixed prizes up for grabs. The payout you receive depends on how many you match, and also whether you hit the Bullseye or not.
Cash 5 Bullseye
The Bullseye is always the fifth and final number to be drawn, and is highlighted on the Results page. If you match the Bullseye and at least one other number, you are guaranteed to get a prize.
You also win if you match any three or four of the five numbers. If the Bullseye is among the numbers you match, the payout will be larger. The following table shows all the different prizes and odds.

Xtra Prizes and Odds
If you add the Xtra option to your Cash 5 play, any non-jackpot prizes you win are guaranteed to be doubled, at the least. A draw takes place to determine which multiplier will be applied, from 2x to 5x. With Xtra, you can win up to $2,500 without even matching all the numbers!

Claiming Prizes
If you win an NJ Cash 5 prize, you have one year to come forward and claim it. The simplest way is to just visit a New Jersey retailer, if the prize is below $600, or to mail in your winning ticket. Go to the How to Claim page to learn more about what you need to do to receive a payout.
