How to Play Pick 6

NJ Pick 6 is an exciting, New Jersey-exclusive draw game that gives players the chance to win millions of dollars twice every week! Drawings take place every Monday and every Thursday at approximately 10:57 PM ET, and the guide below outlines exactly how to play.

Select your numbers

Once you've got your playslip from an authorized lottery retailer, mark six numbers from 1-46, or simply mark the 'Quick Pick' circle, and the lottery terminal will select your numbers at random. The playslip has room for five separate plays.

Multi Draw

You can purchase tickets for multiple draws in advance using just the one playslip – the Multi Draw field towards the top of the playslip lets you enter all the numbers you've played into the next 2 to 26 consecutive draws!

Double Play

For an extra $1 per play, your numbers will be entered into the Double Play drawing. For this add-on, a second set of six numbers is drawn immediately after the first, and players who match these numbers can win even bigger prizes than the main drawing! Visit our Odds and Prizes page for the full details. If you'd rather not take part, simply leave this field blank.

Pay for your entries

Once you've completed your playslip, you can make your purchase. Tickets can be purchased at any time, but the cut-off time to enter into a game is 10:53 PM ET on the day of the drawing. Tickets purchased after this time will be entered into the next drawing automatically. It costs $2 per play, or $3 if you’re adding Double Play.

The XTRA Multiplier

Each ticket is assigned a multiplier from 1X to 10X when it's printed. The XTRA multiplier applies to any non-jackpot prizes, including Double Play. You can check the odds of each multiplier appearing on our Odds and Prizes page.

How to Win

To win the jackpot, you'll need to match all six of the numbers drawn. However, there are lots of other prize tiers, which you can check on our Odds and Prizes page.
